Sip & Snack Saturday Recipes: Hug in a Mug Creamy Decaf Chai Latte, Homemade Brownie Dry Mix, and Fresh Grace at Dawn for Slower Faith-Filled Living

Some Saturdays arrive quietly.

No alarms.
No rushing out the door.
Just the hum of the house, a little sunlight through the window, and the sense that maybe — just maybe — today doesn’t need to be hurried.

Those are my favorite Saturdays.

Around here, Sip & Snack Saturday isn’t about perfection or presentation. It’s about choosing to pause. About letting simple things — a warm mug, something sweet in the oven, a moment with the Lord — steady the soul.

Today’s Sip & Snack Saturday comes straight from that place.

☕ Hug in a Mug — Because Some Comforts Don’t Need Explaining

There are days when words feel like too much.
Days when you don’t need advice — you just need warmth.

That’s exactly what Hug in a Mug is meant to be.

Not fancy.
Not complicated.
Just a creamy, gently spiced decaf chai that you can wrap your hands around and breathe for a minute.

This is the mug you make when the house is still quiet.
The one you reach for when the afternoon feels long.
The one that reminds you that slowing down is not a failure — it’s wisdom.

🍫 Homemade Brownie Dry Mix — Because Saturdays Deserve Something Sweet

Let’s be honest — sometimes the mug isn’t enough.
Sometimes you need chocolate.

This Homemade Brownie Dry Mix is one of those quiet pantry helpers that makes life feel easier. It’s what you keep on hand for unexpected company, grandblessings popping in, or a Saturday afternoon when you just want something familiar and comforting.

Nothing fancy.
Nothing overthought.
Just good, honest brownies.

Fresh Grace at Dawn — For the Mornings That Feel Heavy

Not every morning starts hopeful.

Some mornings start tired.
Some start burdened.
Some start with yesterday still hanging on.

That’s why Fresh Grace at Dawn was written.

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

— Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV)

This eBook isn’t about fixing yourself or pushing through. It’s about remembering that God meets us fresh — right where we are — every single morning.

🪑 The Table Challenge (Sip & Snack Saturday)

This week’s Table Challenge is gentle — on purpose.

Make the mug.
Enjoy the brownie.
Sit down without rushing.

Ask yourself:

  • What am I carrying that I don’t need to carry alone?

  • Where do I need grace right now?

  • What would it look like to rest without guilt?

Let this table be a place of kindness.

If this slower rhythm speaks to your heart, Fresh Grace at Dawn is there to walk with you — one morning at a time.
