3 Simple Recipes to Make It Shine
Ever stumble upon a vegetable that looks like it landed straight from outer space—but tastes like it belongs in your grandma’s kitchen?
Well friend, meet kohlrabi.
With its alien-like shape, leafy topknots, and a name that sounds like it should be cast in a Star Wars flick, kohlrabi is one of the most underrated farm-fresh veggies of the season. But don’t let its looks fool you—it’s a crunchy, slightly sweet, cabbage-y delight just waiting to be turned into something downright delicious.
At Promised Land Ranch and Goods, we’re rooting for the underdogs. And this humble little globe is packed with vitamins, fiber, and a whole lot of “why didn’t I try this sooner?!”
So… What IS Kohlrabi Anyway?
Kohlrabi is part of the brassica family—a cousin to cabbage, broccoli, and kale—but with a flavor all its own. It’s crisp like an apple, mild like a sweet radish, and versatile enough to be eaten raw or cooked.
You can slice it into matchsticks for slaws, roast it like potatoes, or sauté it into buttery bliss. And yes—you can eat the leaves, too!
Available now at the stand—freshly picked and ready to shine in your summer meals.
